A fearless leader within the community will be honored at a breakfast event in April. Mary Margaret Stockton is the driving force behind some major initiatives in Fremont County. Because of her courageous spirit and the impact her work has had on Riverton, she was chosen as the honoree at the Inaugural Recognition Breakfast to support a Boys & Girls Club in Riverton. The Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the Fremont Center, Fremont County Fairgrounds in Riverton. It will feature a special presentation to Ms. Stockton, along with a keynote address by former major league pitcher, Dave Dravecky. Doors will open at 6:15 am, a breakfast buffet begins at 6:30 am, and the program starts at 7 am. There is no cost to attend the Breakfast, but all those in attendance will be asked to make a contribution in support of a Boys & Girls Club in Riverton. Historic Preservation Efforts in Riverton Wednesday, May 5 at 6pm The Historic Preservation Commission of Riverton will present this Wyoming Community Bank Discovery Speakers Series program at the Riverton Museum on May 5 at 6pm. The presentation will focus on the history and stories about some of the most important and recognizable buildings and homes in Riverton and some of the preservation efforts being made to protect these buildings. This program is free and open to the public.
