MILITARY VETERANS in and around Fort Washakie, WY, area are invited for special service sessions Oct. 18-19 hosted by The American Legion. American Legion staff will be available to discuss veteran benefits, American Legion legislative efforts, membership opportunities and service to the community. A veteran service officer will also be on site during event hours to assist area veterans with claims, benefits inquiries, and other veteran-related support. Will be at the Frank B. Wise Business Center Fort Washakie from 9-4 each day.
VIA HONOR WYOMING: If you care about government transparency and the ability of Wyomingites to get access to public records - pay attention.
Wyoming state lawmakers will be meeting to discuss changes to the Wyoming Public Records Act. Your participation is needed to make sure voters have a say in:
-How long record requests will take to process
-What information will be disclosed to the public
-How much they will be able to charge you for your record request
The meeting will be held in person on October 20th, 2025, at the Wyoming State Capitol building, room WW113, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm MST.

🥎 RIVERTON GIRLS SOFTBALL BOARD VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
The Riverton Girls Softball Board is seeking a volunteer to fill the Field Manager position. This role includes overseeing the maintenance of the fields to ensure they are kept in top condition for gameplay throughout the season.
Responsibilities include:
• Responsible for field preparation such as dragging, jogging the baselines, and resetting bases before games.
• Maintaining proper supplies (including field chalk) and managing inventory in the facility storage sheds.
• Coordinating with the Treasurer to purchase all necessary field supplies.
• Preparing reports outlining costs and maintenance needs for board approval.
• Creating to-do lists for workdays during preseason, regular season, and postseason.

RIVERTON BABE RUTH: Check out this great opportunity! Brandon Bailey, who is an ex-MLB pitcher and current pitching coach for the LA Dodgers Organization, will host a pitching camp in Riverton on November 22 & 23. The camp is $199 and will run for 2 hours each day and include a MasterPitch T-shirt. Private lessons will also be offered for $150 (or $100 if you sign up for the camp).
