We have been having trouble with people trying to claim animals as their own when they are not. Thankfully, in these scenarios, we've had true owners who have contacted us with photos of the animal at home so that we could decipher true owners. We will still be putting short descriptions of the impounded animals, but proof with photos and/or vet records will be required to pick them up. As always, rabies certificates are needed to pick up your impounded animals, or extra fees apply. We will post pictures when the animals have completed their 5-day Stray Hold and are available for adoption. Thank you for your understanding as we work through how to successfully accomplish this task. ----- A collaborative meeting was held with Volunteers of America, Wind River Cares, RPD's Community Service Officer, and the Police Department to address the needs of the homeless in our community. **Wind River Cares Warming Hut** is now open 24/7 until the end of the season in May!
