Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year From GoRiverton!

Dear GoRiverton Readers and Supporters!

By now I'm sure you've noticed that there's been a lack of GoRiverton e-blasts in December. On December 2nd, I was on my way to cover Riverton's Tree Lighting event for County 10 when I slipped on the icy street and fell, injuring my knee and fracturing my wrist. I recently had surgery…and with a knee brace and 10 pins (and we're not talking bowling, LOL) holding my wrist together, I'm on the mend and (needless to say) taking things slow! You might be surprised at just how many muscles, ligaments, and tendons are in play, just to even slightly move and click on a mouse!

I have been so very blessed to experience the love of my friends and community family through this time. I am so grateful to those who have helped me before, during, and after surgery, and to those who have messaged or texted me just to check in and see how I’m doing. That I’ve been in the thoughts and prayers of so many has made me think about the great value of the gift of time. Even just sending me an encouraging word or something that makes me laugh lifts my spirits so much! Time is all we have in this life, and what we do with it makes such a huge difference in our own lives and the lives of others!

Folks have asked what they can do to help. Being down for this "hard reset" has actually been a good thing, because I have some great things in store and planned for 2024! Even though the e-blasts have taken a bit of a hiatus, GoRiverton's Facebook page has continued to be very active, so please make sure to like, follow, and share! Also, take a look at the County 10 events calendar...make sure to get your 2024 events posted!

Speaking of…as you can imagine, I’ve been chompin’ at the bit to start writing again, and before you know it, I’ll be back in the saddle! One of my continuing goals has been to spotlight our many local small businesses, community groups, and volunteers. Email me at goriverton@gmail.com so I can get you on my interview schedule to do a write-up for you or your business/group in 2024! It was a total delight to spotlight Wind River Merchantile for their 40-year anniversary...plus, a big thanks to Katie Roenig for taking my interview with Paws for Life and doing the write-up for me. My County 10 family has been so awesome...we have a great team who are community-driven and focused! Click here to submit your tips, info and photos!

Lastly, you can help by supporting GoRIverton for just $75/year (yes year!), and be a part of this growing community network of “everything Riverton”. You can visit my website for more information or email me at goriverton@gmail.com

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year…” (made ya sing it, LOL), and my wish to you is that you can spend a wonderful time with your family and friends this Christmas, and share that valuable gift of time well into 2024!

Best wishes to you and yours!
