Library Courtesy Notice

Hello, Fremont County library patron! Thank you for being part of the Fremont County Library System. Our mission is to contribute to healthy, vibrant communities by enriching lives and engaging minds. The resources we offer both in our libraries and online are available to everyone in the county, and we work diligently to provide something for everyone.  

Beginning February 1st, the following changes to our Fee Schedule will occur: 
$0.25 Letter 8 1/2 x 11$0.35 Double-sided Legal
$0.35 Double-sided Letter$0.35 Ledger 11 x 17
$0.30 Legal 8 1/2 x 14$0.65 Double-sided Ledger
  1. Black & white copying/printing will increase by $.05 per copy in each category.
  2. Overdue fines for books, magazines, and audiobooks will increase to $.20 per item per day.The maximum fine per item remains unchanged at $3.00.
  3. The limit for total fines and fees allowed before your library card is blocked is $3.00.

    Please don't let overdue fines on your account keep you from coming back! We understand that sometimes circumstances result in overdue materials. If you need assistance with paying fines, please visit with a library staff member.

  4. Twenty-five total items may be checked out on your library card at one time.This is reduced from fifty total items.
These small increases to printing fees and overdue fines will help us cover the costs of the materials and services we provide. Continuing to provide a freely available library collection is a community effort. Thanks again for being part of our library community!

The Riverton Chamber of Commerce wants your input!

We will be holding our Board meetings at the
Riverton Library Community Room for the foreseeable future. 

February's meeting will be held at 6 pm on February 3rd.
This will be a combined meeting with the Riverton Ambassadors.

Our meetings will alternate monthly between daytime meetings and evening meetings. Please plan on 1.5 hours. This allows time for community input on either side of the planned agenda items. 

To be a Chamber that serves the interest of the business community
we need to know what your interests are, so come, listen and speak up!


 
Annual Quilts of Valor Foundation Sew Day
Saturday, February 5, 2022
Bring your own sewing machine and regular sewing tools. We will have kits available to make a quilt top at this event. You may also bring your own Quilt of Valor fabrics and patterns to sew on.
There will be a carry-in lunch, so bring food to share.

TiPS is a dynamic, skills-based training program designed to prevent over-intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking, giving beverage servers the knowledge and confidence they need to prevent alcohol-related tragedies.

Registration is due by Noon on February 3rd. Session subject to cancellation based on # of RSVPs.

4TH ANNUAL RIVERTON RENDEZVOUS GAMES
Saturday, February 19 from 1-5PM.

Businesses, organizations, families, and friends create teams of up to six members to compete in events in Riverton City Park for a chance to take home a traveling trophy amongst other prizes!
Register by February 15th. Spots are limited! Register at City of Riverton, cost per team is $100.00. This year’s games are sponsored by the City of Riverton.

The Friends of Fremont County Fair are hosting our second annual Barn Bash fundraiser.
A fun night filled with great food, drinks, raffles,
games, live and silent auctions!

This year's event will raise money for barn and campground improvements.

SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF RIVERTON meets the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month thru May: January 20, February 3 and 17, March 3 and 17, April 7 and 21 and May 5 and 19.  We meet at 12:00 Noon at Brown Sugar Roastery, 203 E. Main Street.
