Northern Red Desert Tribal Tour
Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho advocates from Citizens for the Red Desert invite Wind River community members to explore the Northern Red Desert on a driving tour. The tour will be guided by Jason Baldes and Yufna Soldier Wolf. Participants will have the chance to view this landscape through an Indigenous lens, share stories, and connect. The tour departs from Hines General Store at 8:00 am on June 19th and will return the following day around noon. Camping is optional. Food and transportation provided. Please join us for a community screening of Home From School: The Children of Carlisle. This will be the first time the full documentary film will be screened! Doors open at 5:30 pm for this first come first serve the opportunity to see the film. The film will begin at 6 pm and a short panel and moderated Q&A will take place from 7-7:30pm. For the health and safety of all attendees, the CWC Theater will be at limited capacity and masks are required with COVID-19 vaccinations recommended.
