Responsible Beverage Service Training (TiPs)

When: Sunday, October 8, 2023 @ 10 AM
Location: 818 S Federal Blvd, Riverton – Court Room
IMPORTANT: Training is FREE - Registration due by Noon on October 5th. Session subject to cancellation based on # of RSVPs. To reserve a spot, contact Tauna with the Fremont County Prevention Program; 307-851-1667 or email tauna.groomsmith@wyo.gov
*Coffee, water and snacks will be provided, but not a meal.
WHAT IS TiPS?
TiPS is a dynamic, skills-based training program designed to prevent over-intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking. TiPS gives beverage servers the knowledge and confidence they need to prevent alcohol-related tragedies.
TiPS is a 4-5 hour class teaching how to:
-Help stop drunk driving and other alcohol-related problems before they occur. Allow liquor retailers, law enforcement, elected officials, and citizens to collaborate to solve common issues.
-Effectively curb underage purchases and use of alcohol.
-Train liquor retailers, bartenders and servers how to deal with problem situations. Give liquor retailers a thorough understanding of Wyoming law.
-Enhance profits, reduce expenses, and make better tips while improving customer service.

Riverton Museum: 2023 Pumpkin Trail & Haunted Downtown Walking Tour - Saturday, October 14

The Riverton Museum Pumpkin Trail

On Saturday, October 14th, the Riverton Museum will be hosting its third annual Pumpkin Trail around the museum with carved pumpkins donated from businesses and organizations in Riverton. The event runs from 5pm-8pm with pumpkins being lit at dusk. Admission is free. Hot chocolate and popcorn will be available with a donation.

Additionally, the museum will be offering a haunted walking tour of Riverton with Alma Law. Admission for the tour is $10. The tour will leave the museum at 5:30pm and will last approximately 2 hours.

Donor Information:

Pumpkins can be carved or otherwise decorated but will be displayed outside at night. Candles will be provided by the museum for carved pumpkins. All decorations and carvings must be family-friendly. Businesses can donate as many pumpkins as they would like.

All donors will have their organization name and/or logo on a sponsor poster that will be displayed prominently at the event. The more pumpkins donated, the larger the name/logo on the display!

Guests will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite pumpkin. The 1st-3rd place winners will be highlighted on the Riverton Museum social media pages. 

Drop Off: Pumpkins can be delivered to the Riverton Museum between 8am and 5pm on Friday, October 13th or between 8 am and 3 pm on Saturday, October 14.

Event: The event will begin at 5pm on Saturday, October 14th. The museum will be providing candles and will begin lighting the pumpkins at dusk. Guests can enjoy the pumpkin trail until 8pm. 

Pick Up: You may pick up your pumpkins at 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 14, between 9am and 5pm on Monday, October 16th, or between 9am and 5pm on Tuesday, October 17th. Any pumpkins not collected by noon on Wednesday, October 18 will be thrown away.
